Meet the Team

Iain Getty is our Practice Principal. He graduated from the University of Ulster in 1989. After working in the NHS he founded Lisburn Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic in 1992. Iain worked with the Ulster and Irish hockey teams in the early 90’s and has built up a reputation in the field of sports and spinal injuries. He moved the practice to its current location in 2004 and has seen the practice grow into Lisburn’s leading physiotherapy practice.

Shalini Kapur graduated from the University of Brighton in 1999. She worked in the NHS until 2004 and moved into full time private practice in 2005. Shalini completed her masters in physiotherapy in 2008. She specialises in the treatment of both spinal and peripheral injuries, pilates and acupuncture.

Diane Turner graduated from the Royal London Hospital in 1987. Diane has an MSC in advanced Practice and a Diploma in Sports Medicine. She is an extended role practitioner and clinical specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder injuries.

Claire Monaghan graduated from the University of Ulster in 2001. Claire worked in the NHS until 2006 and then joined Lisburn Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. Claire has a keen interest in treating spinal and sporting injuries. She has completed numerous postgraduate courses which have also qualified her in the use of acupuncture.

Colin Coleman graduated from the University of Northumbria in 2008. He has already completed courses in Soft tissue mobilisation and kinesio taping to name but a few. He is currently Lisburn Rugby Club’s physiotherapist.

Heather Coen is our Practice Manager. She can answer any questions you may have about appointments, health insurance, practitioners and so on. Medical practices sometimes have a reputation for being unhelpful – our aim is quite the opposite. Heather will take the time to help you with any queries you may have.
